Stocking Stuffer Gifts for Everyone on your List
For the purposes of political correctness, it’s worth mentioning that all gifts can be gender-less. So, even though I’ve broken this guide up into separate gender-specific categories, that doesn’t mean you can’t give a “for her” gift to a guy who would love it, too.
But I went ahead and broke it up into gender-focused sections anyway. It’s just easier that way.
First, we’ll start with the gender-neutral items. Here are some perfect stocking stuffers for everyone on your list.
1. Gift Cards
Admittedly, I’m not a huge fan of the “gift-card” present – especially if you’re close to the person. But, since gift-cards are small and easily customizable according to budget, they do make fora good stocking stuffer.
Plus, you can still show your thoughtfulness by giving your loved one a gift-card to their favorite store or restaurant.
2. Candy or Treats
Candy and treats are a fun way to fill a stocking. In fact, when I was growing up, stockings were always filled with candy. I think it’s only been in recent years that people have started putting more traditional “gifts” in them.
3. Books or Movies
Books and movies are great stocking stuffer gifts – they’re small, thoughtful, and typically inexpensive. You can get your loved one a new book or movie you know they’ll love for under $20.
Or, you can get them something a little bigger! A new kindle, for instance, is perfect for those who adore reading. Or a subscription to audible if they love to listen to audio-books.
4. Games or Toys
Is it just me or are board games making a serious comeback as of late?
There are a ton of great games out there from big strategy games for serious gamers to lighthearted party games. Even better, a lot of these party games come in small packages, making them perfect to put in a stocking.
For kids, you could also consider small toys.
All of the games below are great, but my favorites are One Night Werewolf and Utter Nonsense.
5. Electronics
Again, this is a much bigger gift than my childhood stockings ever saw! But there’s no denying that electronics make for nice holiday gifts.
Fitness trackers, ipads, e-readers, headphones, and phone accessories are all the perfect size to fit in a stocking.
Best Stocking Stuffers for Her
1. A Vera Bradley Wallet
I’ve used these Vera Bradley wallet/ID holders for nearly 10 years now. I keep everything I need in there – plus it’s a keychain! It’s such a convenient way to carry something smaller than a purse when I go out.
2 Makeup & Skincare
Makeup and skincare products are always a great idea. Most women have way too much as it is, yet, somehow, we never have what we need.
3. Perfume
Perfume is another ideal stocking stuffer gift to consider for the lady in your life. It’s small, lightweight, and incredibly elegant. Personally, I don’t wear perfume super often so I prefer the small roll-ons rather than the large bottles.
4. Bath Products or Lotion
Candles and lotion might be slightly over-given for the holidays, but there are certain kinds of bath products that still make a great stocking stuffer for her.
Essential oil rollers and bath bombs, for instance, are great for anyone who needs some extra self-care.
5. Jewelry
Ah, jewelry. What woman doesn’t love a nice pair of earrings or an elegant bracelet?
Best Stocking Stuffers for Him
1. Socks & Underwear
I feel like guys always need new socks and underwear. Anyone else get that sense, too?
Of course, you could always grab some cute or funny boxers. But, you could also get him a new pack of his favorite brand of boxer-briefs.
2. Grooming Items
More and more guys are starting to take care of their skin and I gotta say, I am here for it! Skincare products for guys or beard grooming items make for great stocking stuffers.
3. Cufflinks, Wallets, or Money Clips
Wallets and cuff-links are always a good idea for the men on your list. You could get something fancy or something practical, but either way, it’ll be a gift he’ll use often.
4. Watch
You know what they say – never trust a man without a watch. If you happen to have that watch-less guy in your life, go ahead and use this opportunity to help him with his time management skills.
5. Sunglasses
Honestly, sunglasses would make great stocking stuffers for men or women. Everyone loves a good pair of sunnies!
What do you think of my stocking stuffers? Do you have any additional suggestions? Let me know in the comments below!
As always, thanks for reading!

These are all such great ideas! I think anything skincare would make such a great socking filler, but must say that if I receive anything book related I would be over the moon! Also the watch is such a great idea x
I totally agree – I love getting new books or skincare products!
Stuffing stockers were not traditional in my family. But I’d have love to get some games or candy. And now I would to get a new wallet or a gift card.
Small games, candy, books, and other little treats are always a plus!
