If you’re anything like me, you love a good celebrity love story. For that reason, I’m sharing some of my favorite celebrity couples.
Unfortunately, one of my favorite new pairings, Kim K and Pete Davidson, recently called it quits. But, these are the couples who give me serious relationship goals and make me believe that, even in Hollywood, love can find a way.
Top 10 Celebrity Couples
1. Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard
Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard are probably one of my all-time favorite celebrity couples. Not only have they been together for over 13 years (which is practically a lifetime in Hollywood), they’re incredibly open about their relationship.
Their biggest marriage advice? Couples counseling!
They’ve touted the benefits of going to therapy together numerous times and, I have to say, I completely agree!
2. Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds
I know, I know, every cutest Hollywood couple list out there features Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds. But, hey, there’s a reason for that!
These two met while filming in 2010. At the time, they were both in relationships with other people, but the pair became friends. They remained friends and when their respective relationships ended the next year, they started dating.
Within a year, they were married. So freakin cute!
3. Michelle and Barack Obama
You know what they say, behind every great, successful man is a strong woman. That pretty aptly describes the former president and first lady.
Barack and Michelle just ooze ‘power couple’ vibes, amirite? And what’s more, they seem to genuinely love and support one another.
Compare that to Trump and his wife, Melania. All politics aside, there wasn’t a whole lot of warmth between those two.
4. John Krasiniski and Emily Blunt
John Krasinkiski and Emily Blunt are another one of those beloved celebrity couples.
They met in 2008 and, according to John, it was love at first sight (at least for him.) Emily has also said that she knew very early on that he was the one.
Within a year, they were engaged. And in 2010 they got married at—get this—George Clooney’s estate in Italy. Talk about a dream wedding!
5. Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis
Aston Kutcher and Mila Kunis met in the late 90’s on the set of That 70’s Show. Ashton was even Mila’s first kiss! At the time, she was only 14 while he was nearing 20 (which, you know, ick—apparently Ashton thought so too and felt uncomfortable.)
But they were friends and kept in touch after the show ended.
Then, in 2012, both were single and actually started a friends-with-benefits relationship. Lo-and-behold, they fell in love and in 2014, got engaged. 15 years after they first met!
6. Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka
NPH and David Burtka started dating in 2004. The next year, the pair moved to L.A. for Neil Patrick’s TV show, How I Met Your Mother. (Fun fact—David appeared in the show multiple times over the years as another characters’ high school boyfriend!)
In 2006, NPH publicly came out as a gay man. The two then got engaged in 2007 and welcomed twins via surrogate in 2010.
They finally married in 2014, seven years after their engagement.
7. Tom Holland and Zendaya
After Tom Holland and Zendaya were cast together in Spiderman: Homecoming, rumors of them being more than just co-stars started immediately.
According to them, they were just good friends. But their chemistry and the obvious spark between them seemed undeniable.
Finally, in 2021, after five years of public speculation, they confirmed their relationship.
8. Justin and Hailey Bieber
I might get some backlash for this next one, but I maintain that the Biebers are #goals.
Justin and Hailey met in 2009 and became friends (see a theme here anyone?) At some point in late 2015, they started dating but in 2016, they broke up. And Justin even got back together with former girlfriend, Selena Gomez.
Then, after almost 2 years apart, the pair reunited. Within 6 months, they were married. Looking at Justin in the 2010’s to now, it seems clear that Hailey has been a positive influence on him.
9. Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez
Here’s another one of those celebrity couples that prove you can find love the second time around.
Ben and J.Lo first started dating 20(!!) years ago back in 2002. They got engaged that same year—I’m sure you remember the full media frenzy around them. That public attention led to them postponing their wedding in 2013 and, later that year, breaking up completely.
They each went on to marry (and have kids with) other people. Then, in 2021, they started dating again and last month, they tied the knot in Las Vegas. Twenty years after their first engagement.
10. George and Amal Clooney
Now, for my final couple, I’m choosing another common one: George and Amal Clooney.
After George’s first marriage to Talia Balsam ended in 1993, he swore he would never marry again. For years, he maintained that stance. So, when he got engaged to Amal after 6 months of dating, the world was shocked.
According to George, the change of heart came because he fell head over heels for Amal.
They married in 2014 and welcomed twins in 2017.
Honorable Mentions
I already know that a lot of people are going to disagree with several of my choices, and that’s totally fine! Honestly, there were a lot of cute celebrity couples to choose from. So, I went ahead and made a list of some honorable mentions.
Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes have been together for over 10 years and share two daughters. They’re also one of the most private couples in Hollywood and their relationship is basically a mystery.
Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello have to be one of the most beautiful couples in Hollywood. And they also have a really sweet love story—they were engaged within six months of dating!
Chrissy Teigen and John Legend are probably one of the most glaring omissions from my list. To be fair, they are a cute couple, but I didn’t include them because Chrissy just rubs me the wrong way. Sorry!
Olivia Wilde and Harry Styles are one of the most unexpected couples to come out of 2021. And, while I did love Olivia with Jason Sudeikis, I like seeing her with Harry. She’s 10 years older than him and I love fact that their age gap doesn’t follow the Hollywood gender-norms.
Do you agree with my picks? Tell me, who are YOUR favorite celebrity couples? Make sure to let me know!
