Fun Date Ideas for Summer
1. Spend the Day at the Pool
Pool days are always fun! You can spend the day lounging in the water and working on your tan or do something a bit more active. Swimming laps or playing water volleyball, for example. Whatever you do, it’s sure to be a good time.
2. Go to an Amusement Park
If you’re a thrill seeker, this is a perfect summertime date activity. You can get a good adrenaline rush riding roller coasters or snuggle up on the Ferris wheel.
3. Hit the Hiking Trails
No matter where you live, you can easily find a place to hike. Spoiler alert: hiking is just walking! So whether it’s a strenuous hike or a simple stroll down a trail, it’s a good way to spend the day. Plus, it’s free!
4. Go Horseback Riding
This one might be a bit trickier, but it’s definitely a romantic date idea. Just picture yourself riding a horse next to your love? It’s like something out of a movie.
5. Picnic at the Park
There’s something undeniably romantic about picnics. I don’t know what it is, but it makes for a really relaxing and sweet afternoon. Plus, you can do some good people-watching at a park.
6. Visit the Zoo
If you live near a zoo, this is a fun summer date activity. You’ll get to see the animals while also being outside with your boo. And while it’s not an outdoor activity, aquariums are a good alternative.
7. Take a Leisurely Bike Ride
Here’s another date activity that you can do anywhere. You can always choose something adventurous, like mountain biking, but personally, I prefer a slow, steady bike ride. Any activity that gets your endorphins pumping is a good way to bond.
8. Go Kayaking
This one also depends on where you live, but if possible, any sort of water sport is a fun summer date idea. Kayaking, rafting, canoeing—all of these are fantastic ways of spending the day.
9. Visit a Winery
Wineries tend to be beautiful to visit. You can do a wine tasting, have a little snack, and then sit outside to enjoy the view. Plus, after a tasting, you can pick your favorite wine and grab a few bottles for your next date.
10. Take a Weekend Getaway
This is best for longer relationships, but a weekend getaway is always fun, especially in the summertime. Finding a bed and breakfast is also an incredibly romantic way of spending time together.
11. Dine under the Stars
Again, something about eating outside is romantic. So, try packing up a snack and some wine and laying out on a blanket under the stars.
12. Go to an Outdoor Movie Theater
If you’ve never gone to a drive-in movie theater before, you’re missing out. It’s so much fun to watch a movie on a giant screen while sitting outside with your love.
Conclusion
I don’t know about you, but I’m a big fan of the summertime. And of all the seasons, there are probably the best date ideas for summer. It’s a perfect time to flirt and have fun with your partner. What do you think? Be sure to let me know.
